Tourist Organisation of Old Royal Capital of Cetinje, in cooperation with the Regional Development Agency of Dubrovnik-Neretva county-DUNEA, implements the project "Wine - Wine Tourist Network" under the Cross-Border Programme Croatia - Montenegro financed by the European Union under the II component of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA)
Project partners are: the municipality of Cetinje and the national association of winemakers of Montenegro from Montenegro side, Croatian Dubrovnik-Neretva County, Dubrovnik-Neretva County-EU wine producers from Croatia side Implementation period (duration) of the project is 24 months.
The first Regional Wine Fair FestiWine 2014 in Dubrovnik , the atrium of Clares was completed
Tourist Organization of Cetinje under the project " Wine Wine Tourism Network " under the Cross-Border Programme Croatia - Montenegro , financed by the European Union during the second component of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA ) in Montenegro, according to the contract CRIS Br.309440 , have participated on the wine Fair " Dubrovnik FestiWine " organized by the Dubrovnik-Neretva County DUNEA, which was held from 25 - 26.04.2014. year. At the joint stand along with Tourism Organization of Cetinje , Montenegrin wine makers have presented their wines.
Culture of grape vines dating back to the time of before roman’s period. In Illyrian state on the territory of modern Montenegro , vines are grown on the banks of Skadar Jezera. Organized work on wine growing in Montenegro has began in the reign of King Nicholas I (1860-1918).
